As you can see by this journal's title, my chosen theme is that ball of bright energy we all love, the sun!
Each of these pieces features the sun as one of the main focus points.





Finding pieces that were balanced as far as color contrasts was a nice treat in itself. With two pieces using a Blue/Orange scheme balances by one piece with only Blue and another with only Orange, this collection is a nice eye catcher. I also find the arrangement above to be the best as your eye is first drawn to the girl with the sun in her hands, then transitions left to the sun shining through a tree. It then flows down and right to the girl with the orange dress and umbrella and finally back left to the beautiful Miami Sunrise. There is also a nice distinction between the two pieces with higher contrast and more shadow and the two transitioning pieces that are softer with less definitive shade.
